Admissions Process – How to Apply

Step 1: Obtain an Application Voucher

Application vouchers can be purchased from any GCB Bank branch nationwide.

Step 2: Complete the Online Application

Use the unique voucher code to access the UCBAS online application portal. Follow the instructions to complete and submit your application. (If an online portal is unavailable, applications can be submitted in person at the admissions office.)

Step 3: Submit Required Documents

Ensure that you upload or attach the following:

  • Copies of academic certificates and transcripts
  • Passport-sized photograph
  • National ID (Ghana Card, Passport, or Voter’s ID)
  • Proof of payment of application fee

Step 4: Await Admission Decision

Applicants will receive notification of their admission status via email, SMS, or official UCBAS communication channels.

Admissions Requirements

Diploma Programs (2 Years)

  • For WASSCE & SSSCE Candidates

Must have Credit Passes (A1-C6 for WASSCE, A-D for SSSCE) in six (6) subjects: 

  • Three (3) Core Subjects (including English Language and Mathematics)
  • Three (3) Elective Subjects

Eligible students can progress to UCBAS undergraduate degree programs upon completion.

Undergraduate Programs (4 Years)

  • For WASSCE Applicants: Minimum aggregate 36

  • For SSSCE Applicants: Minimum aggregate 24

Candidates must have Credit Passes in six (6) subjects: 

  • Three (3) Core Subjects (including English Language and Mathematics)
  • Three (3) Elective Subjects
  • GCE Advanced Level Applicants

  • Passes in three (3) GCE Advanced Level subjects (at least one should be Grade D or better).

  • Must also have five (5) GCE Ordinary Level credit passes, including English, Mathematics, and a General Science or Social Studies subject.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) Candidates

  • Must have graduated with at least a Second-Class Lower Division in a relevant field.
  • Equivalent diploma qualifications from recognized institutions may also be considered
  • Mature Applicants

  • Must be 25 years or older at the time of application.
  • Must pass a Mature Students’ Entrance Examination.
